Ajax built the MN Series around three upgrades that matter on the shop floor: a stiffer frame, a wider pitman eccentric, and stroking rates that outpace our standard press line.

Wide Pitman Eccentric Drive for Superior Process Control

The MN Series’s wider pitman eccentric gives the MN Series a mechanical advantage over standard press drives by increasing the load-bearing surface between the eccentric shaft and connecting rod. This reduces lateral play under heavy forging loads and keeps the ram tracking true at full speed. 

Operations forging close-tolerance aerospace or automotive components gain measurable improvements in part consistency.

Eight-Point Ram Guide System for Closer Tolerances

Where conventional presses rely on four guide points, the MN Series eight-point ram guide forging press doubles the contact surfaces controlling ram position. 

Each additional guide point resists torsional and lateral forces that cause misalignment under load. This means more accurate impressions on every stroke, less tool wear across die stations, and lower scrap rates over long production campaigns.
